Standard First Aid with Level 'C' CPR
Course Description:
This 16-hour recognized Standard First Aid program is designed for individuals who may have a delayed response to Emergency Medical Services or who work in an industrial or high-risk activity setting. The program is focused on Basic Life Support skills. Successful candidates will receive a certificate recognized by Alberta Human Resources and Employment.

- First Aid Legislation/Personal Safety/Casualty Assessment Respiratory Emergencies/Circulatory System Emergencies/Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation /Secondary Assessment/Moving and Transporting
- Head, Neck and Spinal Injuries
- Sprains, Strains, Fractures and Dislocations
- Burns
- Heat Cramps/Heat Exhaustion/ Heat Stroke
- Frost Nip/Frost Bite/ Hypothermia
- Diabetes/ Epilepsy and convulsion/Asthma
- Poisons Injected/Inhaled/Ingested/Absorbed
- AED Automatic External Defibrillator
